Captain Mario Emilio has been fishing in the area since he was 10 years old and there´s hardly a fishing place that he doesn’t know. He specializes in reef and offshore fishing, so you can count on catching a wide variety of fish species throughout the day.

Captain Mario will meet you at the Caleta Harbor, where you’ll aboard his 26’ Imensa boat.

The boat´s center console seats 4 and there´s enough room for everyone to fish at the same time; It´s powered by twin 120 HP Yamaha engines, ensuring a smooth ride. The boat has navigation and safety equipment, stabilizers, downriggers and an icebox for your drinks.

Reef fishing trips will take you in search of snapper, barracuda, amberjack, bonito and mackerel. These trips are great if you don’t have much fishing experience, as your targets are less aggressive. For more adrenaline-filled action, try deep sea fishing! You’ll be targeting Mahi Mahi and Blue Marlin most of the time.

Mario’s fishing tour was the highlight of our Cozumel trip. He’s extremely responsive, friendly and professional. After fishing he took us to a private beach where he had fruits, guacamole and snacks for us. He also recommended a restaurant that would cook the fish we caught and it was delicious. Abrimar is one of those local businesses that is worth the price for the amazing service and friendliness they provide. I would recommend Mario in a heartbeat, we’ll definitely be coming back.

We took a private 4 hour snorkelling tour with Mario and Lalo and had an amazing time! Mario is extremely professional and you can tell that safety is his top priority, which we appreciated. We snorkelled offshore on a beautiful reef and then at El Cielo where we saw starfish and stingrays. We enjoyed delicious fruit, guac, pico de gallo and chips (and beer!) near the end of our tour. It’s definitely worth it to pay a little extra for a private tour – book with Mario!

Excellent!! Best fishing experience I’ve had. If you’re looking for an authentic fishing experience, this is it!! Highly recommend and a must book with Mario and his expert crew. Not only are they a blast but these locals have an extensive knowledge of the waters and different methods of fishing. Started off by trolling for live bait for bigger fish. Throughout the trip we caught plenty of different fish.After the fishing was done, the fish was prepared at a local restaurant which was ran by close friends and family of Mario. This experience was amazing and the fish was prepared different ways which was so delicious! Again, I can’t express how amazing this whole experience was.Thank you guys!!!Larry from Denver Colorado.

Mario and Frank took me on a snorkeling trip that I will never forget. They went above and beyond to make the experience great. We visited 3 reefs and I saw a manta ray and 2 sea turtles! We also saw tons of starfish. Mario provided a delicious lunch with drinks in the boat and we ate with sting rays swimming around us.The boat was clean and safe and the guys were friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I respect Mario for being careful to obey restrictions that maintain the heath of the reef and marine life. Mario and Frank were friendly but weren’t overly talkative(which I find annoying sometimes with guided tours) but told me interesting facts and answered all my questions and me tourist tips. Next time we’re in Cozumel we are going fishing and snorkeling with Mario. I can’t wait!
